Visual Timber Pest Inspection Report - Australian Standard AS 4349.3

Your Visual Timber Pest Inspection Report will comply with Australian standards AS 4349.3 and will consist of examining any timber pest activity or existing damage found by Subterranean & Damp wood Termites, Wood decay fungi & Borers.

Buying a house is generally the most expensive purchase you will make in your life, so you want to make sure you get it right and are protected from making a costly mistake. Our Timber Pest Inspections are carried out in accordance with Australian standard AS 4349.3, which is a nationally accepted standard for timber pest inspections and reports, and are extremely thorough and comprehensive. This inspection is different to the Annual Termite Inspection which does not
include reporting on fungus and moulds. Your timber pest inspection report should be carried out early in the buying process to inform you if the property has any issues with termites or other timber pests. The purpose of the Pre-purchase Timber Pest Inspection Report is to assist you, the buyer, to have identified and understand the implications of any Timber Pest issues observed at the time of inspection. Our pre-purchase timber pest inspection will include an assessment of each of the following areas of your property:

the interior of the building or buildings, excluding furniture & stored items

the exterior of the building or buildings
-
the roof space and sub floor
-
the site, including trees, stumps and timbers that are in contact with soil within the property boundaries, up to a distance of 30 m from the main building
In our comprehensive Timber Pest Inspection Report we include details such as:

areas of possible bridging or breaching of existing termite barrier

areas with excessive moisture

sub floor ventilation problems
